Another Win for Shawn in Houston

Even though yesterday was Shawn's 14th birthday, she competed in Houston, TX on Tuesday in the US vs Japan and New Zealand Meet. Shawn is the first USA gymnast to win an international meet under the new code of points. She received a score of a 14.95 on vault (1st), 14.90 on uneven bars (3rd), 15.55 on balance beam (1st), and 14.80 on floor exercise (2nd). Shawn's all-around score was 60.20 which placed in her first place! Jacquelyn Johnson (57.45) and Ivana Hong (56.75) placed 2nd and 3rd respectively. Team USA also took the team title over Japan and New Zealand. Congratulations on another international win Shawn and Happy Birthday!!
