Hong, Johnson Compete in Belgium

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ivana Hong of Blue Springs, Mo., and Shawn Johnson of West Des Moines, Iowa, represented the United States in the 2005 Charleroi Top Gym Competition, Oct. 22-23, in Charleroi, Belgium.
Al Fong and Armine Barutyan, who train Hong at Great American Gymnastics in Blue Springs, and Liang Qiao, who trains Johnson at Chow’s Gymnastics in West Des Moines, were the coaches for the team. Both Hong and Johnson are members of the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team.
