Shawn Johnson homecoming planned for Tuesday

Shawn Johnson will be welcomed home with a public event at Wells Fargo Arena Tuesday night.

Johnson, who won one gold and three silver medals at the Olympics, will be on hand with her coach, Liang Chow, for the 6 p.m. celebration.

Both Shawn and Chow will talk about their Beijing experience and field selected questions from the audience and highlights from Shawn's career will be shown on the arena video board.

WHO-TV's Keith Murphy will emcee the event that is free to the public. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

The event is being sponsored by Hy-Vee, Global Spectrum, Coca-Cola, WHO-TV and The Des Moines Register.
