In her first Senior competition, Shawn was part of a five member team that competed in the Tyson American Cup this past weekend in Jacksonville, Florida.  Natasha Kelley, Samantha Peszek, Bianca Flohr, and Shayla Worley joined Shawn in the preliminary round and clearly USA was the class of the field.  USA dominated the top five spots with Shawn leading the pack into the finals with an all-around score of 62.100!  Natasha Kelley placed second (61.200) behind Shawn and would be joining her in the finals.

Shawn had a great competition during finals!  With improving her vault and uneven bars scores from day one, Shawn took control of the competition!  She debuted two new skills; standing full on balance beam and a double twisting double layout (dismount) on the uneven bars.  Even with a fall on the balance beam, she still came back strong on the floor exercise and claimed the 2007 Tyson American Cup Champion title!
